Transportation/Maintenance Facility

The district is making a lot of progress on maintenance and transportation facility.  Metal work is completed, site drainage and insulation are installed, now on to electrical and fencing.

Academic Wing

Site work and temporary fencing are going up in preparation of academic wing construction. The portable building has been moved to the south and part of the septic system is on-site.

The Santo ISD Board took action at the February meeting of Trustees to select  Canterbury Consulting Group, Inc. as project architect and a delivery method of Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR).

Transportation/Maintenance Facility

Work is in full swing on the repurposed Transportation/ Maintenance Facility. Located on Front Street in the old Ferti-Tex Warehouse, the facility is slated to be in use next fall.

New Instructional Facility

The district expects to begin utility work in early summer, soon after school ends. Electrical, sewer, water, etc. work is one of the first visible steps in the construction process.

$18.5 million in Bond funding coming in February

The SISD Board approved the sale of the first series of construction bonds on January 18, netting the district approximately $18.5 million dollars in construction funds. That money will arrive in a designated district account in mid-February.
