Turf is coming to W.A. Lewis Field!
The SISD Board of Trustees took action on June 3rd to approve field turf at W.A. Lewis Field to be installed this summer for the 2024 season. The turf provides an all-weather surface for athletes and band programs and does away with the use of treated water for irrigation. A community donation of more than $500,000 dollars is allowing the project to be constructed at approximately $0.40 on the dollar. A debt of gratitude to a generous community providing blended money for the project. The project is not associated with the 2024 Bond package, passed in November. Bus Drivers Needed
Santo ISD is currently hiring route and substitute bus drivers. Applicants must possess a current CDL, be fingerprinted, complete 20 hours of bus-specific training, pass a background check and routine drug/alcohol screenings, and be able to successfully communicate the students, parents, and staff. The district pays a competitive rate, along with the monthly premium for basic employee insurance for full-time route drivers.
