Grading Policy
Each grading period will include a minimum of 8 daily grades and 2 test grades. Each six-week average will be calculated using the following percentages: daily work 60% + tests 40% = report card grade. The lowest daily work grade will be dropped before each grading period is averaged. I will not drop any test grades.
When a student returns from an absence, he or she will be given time equal to the days missed to turn in assignments. Work assigned while the student was present will be due as scheduled or upon the student’s return, whichever comes first. If a student misses a test which was scheduled when the student was present, the student will take the test upon returning to school. I will not accept late work or allow students to redo failed assignments. Appropriate exceptions for emergencies and special circumstances will be made on a case by case basis.
