Safety & Security

At Santo ISD, the safety of your child and our staff is always a top priority. We have well-established safety protocols which we follow and practice on a routine basis.

The district has a written Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) that includes the four primary areas of prevention, mitigation, response and recovery as well as many different crisis scenarios used for staff training and emergency response planning.

SISD has surveillance cameras covering the district compound and keyless entry systems installed on exterior doors. Visitors to the campus must have an appointment or valid purpose and are screened at campus entrances.

All campuses conduct safety drills of all types to routinely affirm safety protocols as well as establish a clear chain of command. Students and staff practice drills regularly and document their procedures to ensure best practices are in place. Exterior door audits are performed weekly and are on file with the Texas School Safety Center.
