Santo High School 1935

According to a Texas State Library and Archives Commission document, Santo ISD was incorporated in 1906? This photograph depicts Santo High School in 1935.

Santo ISD is a rural, PK-12 school district located approximatley 25 miles west of Weatherford and competes in Conference 2A, Division II UIL competition.

The district is growing, necessitating the addition of 4 elementary classrooms in the summer of 2023 and the passage of a 27-million-dollar bond program in the same year to address new additions and repurposing of facilities.

While student growth is occurring, the district holds to its Core Beliefs:

Core Beliefs

The State of Texas does not rank public schools, but they do rate them based on performance of standardized tests, attendance, and dropout rates. The accountability system is currently being revised, but SISD has a zero percent dropout rate, a 96-97 percent attendance rate, and consistently scores above regional and state averages on assessments.

Santo ISD also serves as the fiscal agent for the Palo Pinto County Special Education Shared Services Arrangement, serving Gordon, Graford, Palo Pinto, Santo, and Strawn ISDs. The district provides instruction for students with special needs from Gordon, Santo, and Strawn.

Santo ISD is proud to be part of the Santo Community. The district is proud of our students and staff, and our students are excited to be Lady Cats and Wildcats. #SantoProud
