The primary goal of the school is to provide the student with the best possible education. To accomplish this goal is difficult, and the beginning of this realization requires full cooperation between the school and parents.
As a possible help to you, to make the fullest contribution, may we suggest the following:
1. Require regular and punctual attendance, as this factor contributes as much as any other to success in school. Put the school first, and your child will likely do the same. 2. Arrange the home program whereby at least one hour of home study is done daily. It is impossible for a student to prepare his lessons thoroughly during the school day.
3. The wise parent will bring problems directly to the teacher or principal. Your problem is our problem, and neither the teachers nor the parents should criticize one another in the presence of the student, or contribute to criticism by listening to it. We often encourage poor attitudes by tolerating them.
4. You may further help the school by:
A. Explaining why your child was absent and personally signing all explanations for absences.
B. Examining each report card.
C. Getting to know your school and the schedule of activities.
D. Getting to know your child's teachers personally.
