Why should I register?
Registered users at santoisd.net are eligible to receive Mobile and E-Alerts, keeping you informed of the latest district news. You will also be eligible to receive E-Alerts from your student's teachers, coaches, and activity sponsors. Students age 13 and over can register to receive practice times, homework reminders, and more via their e-mail account.
What is the difference between a Mobile Alert and an E-Alert?
A Mobile Alert is a text message sent to your cellphone. They are generated by District Administration for emergency events such as bad weather, last-minute athletic schedule changes, and other vital information. At this time, teachers do not have the capability to send Mobile Alerts. You must register your cellphone in order to receive Mobile Alerts.
An E-Alert is an e-mail message sent to registered users of the website about school news, events, and notices. E-Alerts will also be sent about bad weather closings/delays. As a user of the website, you are automatically registered to receive District E-Alerts. However, you must take an additional registration step to receive them about activities, athletics, and classroom news. (When a Mobile Alert is generated, an E-Alert also accompanies it.)
Can I get E-Alerts from my student's teacher or coach?
Yes! E-Alerts can be sent from your student's teacher or coach for announcements, news, reminders, homework, practice times, and schedule changes. However, you must sign up separately to receive these--you are not automatically registered.
